Cumberland City Council Seniors & Disability Services in partnership with Multicultural Health Services, Western Sydney Local Health District will be delivering two information sessions specially catered for our seniors from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds.
CALD seniors face cultural barriers preventing them from accessing and effectively use aged care services. These information sessions will be held in Chinese (Mandarin) and Arabic. Different topics on graceful ageing and supports available in the community will be covered.
In this session the following support services and topics will be covered:
My Aged Care - learn about different government funded support
EnCOMPASS: Multicultural Aged Care Connector
Cumberland City Council Seniors and Disability Team Services - assistance available from Council
Stepping On: Falls Prevention - a local health program, providing info on fall prevention and independent living
Zumba Presentation - exercise and learn new dance moves that you can do at home
