The University of Queensland (UQ) is the first university in the Southern Hemisphere to join the Age-Friendly University Global Network and is dedicated to addressing the needs of older people and the challenges presented by the ageing population.

One of the ways it does this is through the 50+ Registry, an online hub coordinated through the UQ Ageing Mind Initiative (AMI). The 50+ Registry coordinates the vast network of ageing-related research projects across Faculties and Schools at UQ and affiliated research institutions. It connects researchers seeking to understand ageing with community members who are willing to participate in research projects related to ageing.

Members of the 50+ registry receive AMI newsletters via email four times a year. The newsletters contain details of the current research projects that are seeking participants, and updates on ageing-related research, events and feature stories.
