The purpose of this forum is to explore where there are research gaps on elder abuse and the mistreatment of older people.
The focus will be on inter-personal drivers of elder abuse and barriers to intervention, and legislative and policy changes that could interrupt those drivers and overcome the barriers.
The discussions will be used to inform UARC’s research priorities and its development of evidence-based solutions to these complex issues.
The forum will bring together subject matter experts from state and federal government, legal practitioners and peak bodies.
