Elder Rights Advocacy

Elder Rights Advocacy supports older people, their families and representatives in Victoria address issues related to Commonwealth funded aged care services. Our service is free, independent and confidential.

Our job is to listen and support you and your family to identify and advocate for solutions that best respond to your circumstances. Sometimes this involves us advocating strongly to an aged care service and challenging them to provide better care.

Our Services include:

  • Aged Care Advocacy and Information

  • Elder Abuse Prevention and Response

  • Aged Care Navigators Trial

  • Community Visitors Scheme

  • Community Education

We are a member of the national Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN), delivering the National Aged Care Advocacy Program (NACAP).

Our service covers the state of Victoria, with offices in Melbourne, Geelong, Bendigo and Traralgon.
