This national seminar series seeks to engage people and organisations across Australia about why human rights are the answer to many of our social problems and how we can work together to strengthen our country’s commitment to – and accountability for – protecting human rights.
With seminars in each capital city as well as a national online seminar, attendees will join some of Australia’s leading human rights advocates to explore advancing a human rights agenda at the national, state and territory levels.
The seminars are being presented by the Commission in partnership with the peak human rights and anti-discrimination agencies in each state and territory. Each seminar will have a focus on national solutions to revitalising Australia's commitment to human rights – such as an Australian Human Rights Act and reform of Australia’s anti-discrimination laws – as well as a focus on relevant local issues in each state and territory.
Each seminar will comprise a presentation, panel discussion and attendee questions.
The Answer is Human Rights national seminar series is part of the Commission’s 40 Years program.
