'I feel discriminated against': Pensioner's battle in a digital world

A pensioner has spoken out about how people who are "just surviving" on the age pension are finding it tough to communicate with companies that require emails or interactions with bots.

Darryl Morris, 72, believes companies are "weaponising technology" to alienate pensioners and poorer people who might not have a computer or smartphone to be able to get the information they need.

The Geelong resident said because he does not own a computer he feels "discriminated against", especially when he is trying to find information or phone numbers for aged care providers.
