Caravan park resident left homeless after immediate eviction from her own cottage

An 82-year-old woman has been evicted from the Beauty Point Tourist Park in northern Tasmania, where she owns a cottage, leaving her homeless.

Kathleen Philp is one of a number of residents of the park who have been issued eviction notices since compliance matters arose in February last year.

The Liberal and Labor parties have both committed to introducing legislation to protect residents of caravan parks in Tasmania, after residents at the Beauty Point Tourist Park began raising issues.
