Grassroots film festival celebrates the vision of women and girls behind the camera

The town of Gawler is South Australia hosts an annual film festival that showcases the work of women and girls, giving them a platform to define their own stories, to shape their own narratives and to define themselves before they are defined by others.

If you consider that 93% of directors are male, then the question must surely be :

’Where are the women’s stories? What’s happened to them?’.

According to organiser of SAGA Women’s International Film festival, some of them at least, are in Gawler.
