You're invited to join a research project being conducted by the research team at Monash University.
This research project will explore the insights of friends and/or family members of people who have cognitive impairment and have experienced elder abuse.
It aims to deepen our understanding of the unique factors influencing the experiences of elder abuse and how we prevent and respond to it.
In this online form, we'll ask you to reflect on your loved ones' experiences of cognitive impairment and the abuse that occurred.
We expect the form will take between 10 - 15 minutes to complete.
Joining the research is voluntary, and you can stop at any time.
You are free to skip any questions that you don't feel comfortable answering.
You can exit the form at any stage. Any responses you do complete can't be withdrawn, however, the form is anonymous and at no stage will the researchers be able to identify you.
Staying safe online
We recommend that you complete the form in private due to the sensitive nature of some of the questions.
If you have concerns about your safety, please take the time to choose a safe place to complete the form.
If for any reason, you need to quickly exit the form, on each page of the form, you can click the ‘Quick Exit’ button which will take you to google.com so that no one will see that you were completing the form.
It is important to note that the quick exit will not remove your browsing history. If the 'back' button is clicked it will bring the user back into the survey. To learn more about private browsing and removing browsing history click here to access our information sheet.
Confidentiality
Your answers will be sent to a link at Qualtrics where data will be stored in a password protected electronic format. Qualtrics does not collect identifying information such as your name, email address, or IP address. Therefore, your responses will remain anonymous. No one will be able to identify you or your answers, and no one will know whether or not you participated in the study.
