Can you help shape the way the Tasmanian Government supports older Tasmanians?
The Government is seeking expressions of interest (EoI) from older Tasmanians and organisations that work with older Tasmanians to fill these important roles on the new Older Tasmanians Ministerial Advisory Council (the Council).
The Council will play a key role in advising on implementing A Respectful, Age-Friendly Island: Older Tasmanians Action Plan 2025-2029.
There are five lived experience positions and two roles for representatives from organisations that work with older Tasmanians available on the Council.
If you are an older Tasmanian with a range of expertise and experience that you would like to share, please consider applying for one of these roles.
Applications are encouraged from older Tasmanians in regional and remote areas, older Tasmanian Aboriginal people, culturally and linguistically diverse Tasmanians, LGBTIQA+ Tasmanians, and Tasmanians with disability.
Members will provide advice to inform Tasmanian Government responses to issues and challenges experienced by older Tasmanians.
The Council will assist in the development and delivery of Tasmanian Government policy, programs and projects to ensure older Tasmanians are valued, connected and supported.
The closing date for expressions of interest is 27 January 2026.
