New 2023 Covid-19 booster recommendations

The NSW Government has updated advice on COVID-19 booster vaccinations following recommendations by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI).

People are now recommended to have a COVID-19 booster if they have not had a COVID-19 vaccine dose or confirmed COVID-19 infection in the past 6 months or longer, and they are:

aged 65 years or older; or

aged 18-64 years and at higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19.
