For older women, a lifetime of gender inequality can intersect with gendered ageism to create significant inequalities including poverty, homelessness, violence and abuse.

The Strong, Grey Women project aims to raise awareness of the inequalities for older women - to help create momentum for change.

An estimated 75% of Australian women dye their hair - this is unsurprising given research showing women with grey hair can experience stigma, feel invisible, and be viewed as less competent.

Celebrate Ageing is looking for 10 women aged 60+ to stop dyeing their hair for a year and to share their experiences with us. They will document participants experiences (photographs and interviews) and provide them with support. They would welcome a group or pair of friends to participate.
