QLD government announces $600 million for homeless services

Funding will include $365 million for crisis accommodation and "head" leasing, and more than $200 million in specialist housing services.

Housing Minister Sam O'Connor said it was the "biggest increase in funding for homelessness services and accommodation in Queensland's history".

Advocates have welcomed the announcement but say more needs to be done to increase the amount of available rentals and services for regional areas.
