Research shows when it comes to elder abuse, older women are most at risk. Worse, it’s often a family member who inflicts the abuse.

Latest statistics from the NSW Ageing and Disability Commission indicate 77 per cent of the almost 3000 reports it received in 2020 about people who were subject to, or at risk of, abuse, neglect and exploitation related to older people, most of whom were women.
