The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is among the government-funded ways people can seek support to help them live independently and more comfortably.

Run by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), the scheme - available to eligible people who apply for it before their 65th birthday - gives people funding to help them access the supports they need.

If someone loses NDIS eligibility but they still need support, the NDIA will help connect them to other services to consider.
