Advance Health Directives for Mental Health

A video for anyone who needs help to prepare for future mental health care decisions.

The Advance Health Directives for Mental Health (AHDMH) is for anyone needing help to prepare for future care decisions, relating mainly to their mental health.

An AHDMH is different to a general Advance Health Directive (AHD), which anyone can complete to plan for future medical care, including possible dementia.

Age and Disability Advocates (ADA) Australia, in partnership with QAI and Stranger Film, produced this video to talk about the Advance Health Directive for mental health.

Advance Health Directives for mental health are available to Queensland consumers under the Mental Health Act 2016.
