The SA Government is committed to criminalising coercive control, and to building on the important discussions that have already started with the sector and the broader community.

After a period of in-depth engagement with a range of stakeholders, the Government of South Australia has drafted the Criminal Law Consolidation (Coercive Control) Amendment Bill 2023 to criminalise coercive control.
