Looking for a guest speaker for 2024?

Free Information sessions and guest speakers on a variety of topics are available from Aged Rights Advocacy Service (ARAS) for your organisation or community group.

Topics include:

  • the Charter of Aged Care Rights 

  • elder abuse prevention for older people

  • safeguards for Ageing Well

  • Home Care Check-in Service

  • financial advocacy

ARAS Advocates can deliver information sessions in person or online via Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Aged Rights Advocacy Service (ARAS) is a free, independent, confidential and inclusive service to older people in South Australia, or their representatives, who are:

  • living in residential aged care 

  • receiving Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) or Home Care Package (HCP) services

  • at risk of or experiencing abuse from family or friends

  • living in a retirement village

ARAS provides advocacy assistance to support older people to uphold their rights and their responsibilities.



ARAS also has specialist Aboriginal Advocates who provide culturally safe support.
