The Carer Knowledge Exchange Annual Research Incubator 2026, Recognising, Respecting, Reimagining: 50 years of learning from carers and shaping what comes next, will take place from Monday 25 to Wednesday 27 May 2026.

This three-day event will bring together carers, researchers, policy makers and practitioners to share knowledge, learn from each other, and explore how lived experience and evidence can inform meaningful change. The program will highlight existing and emerging research-to-practice initiatives, supporting stronger connections across sectors and improving the translation of evidence into action.

Participants will engage in discussions that provide opportunities for policy makers and practitioners to apply research findings and lived experience insights in their work, contributing to improved outcomes for carers and the people they support.

The event is open to carers, researchers, policy makers and practitioners, and anyone with an interest in raising awareness of, and create connections between, existing and new research-to-practice initiatives relating to carers.
