Public or State Trustee

A trust is a legal structure that allows a person or company to manage property for someone else. The public trustee takes on this role in each state or territory where it provides services such as will writing, powers of attorney, executor services, trustee services and financial administration. The state trustee can be appointed as an independent financial administrator when a person who no longer has decision-making capacity does not have a suitable friend or family member to take on this role.
