World Elder Abuse Awareness Week

Cardinia Shire Council is encouraging residents to come along to a free community event in June to mark World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.

The event will take place on 15 June at the Outlook Community Centre from 10am to 11.30am.

The United Nations (UN) designated 15 June as World Elder Abuse Awareness Day in 2011 to raise awareness and knowledge of elder abuse and the various ways it can manifest which includes financial, emotional and physical.
