Brisbane Aged Care Conference

In today’s contentious aged care environment, it has never been more necessary to have quick access to education that raises the bar for registered nurses in aged care.

The Brisbane Aged Care Conference covers how to prevent unnecessary transfer to hospital, when to listen and when to speak when dealing with complaints, care considerations for an older person with dementia, the latest on safe sedative use and the role of dementia care mapping.

EAAA

This forum will discuss what Australia has achieved and what more must be done to end elder abuse since the Australian Law Reform Commission’s “Elder Abuse – A National Legal Response” report was released in June 2017, and the release of the Commonwealth’s “National Plan to Respond to the Abuse of Older Australians (Elder Abuse) 2019-2023” in March 2019. The webinar is the second in the Walk the Talk Forum Series 2021. These important conversations will continue in the 7th National Elder Abuse Conference in Hobart in February next year.
